Anyone can promise quality; few put the details in writing. This page is the plain-English statement of what you can expect from NextGen Services at every stage of an engagement — and what we will do when something does not go to plan. These standards have applied to every client, on every job, since 2013.
Our six commitments
- Honest scoping, before you commit. Every engagement begins with a written scope: what we will do, what we will not do, what we need from you, and what it will cost. If we discover the work is smaller than expected, the fee reflects that. We do not inflate scope to fill time.
- Senior people on the work. The people who scope your engagement are the people who deliver it. We do not operate a pyramid in which the sales conversation is senior and the delivery is not.
- Plain-language reporting. Progress reports are written in clear English, state what was done, what changed, and what happens next, and arrive on a schedule agreed in advance — not when it suits us.
- Everything documented. Processes, decisions, credentials and configurations are documented as we go. At handover you receive materials your team can actually use — not a folder of drafts.
- Your data stays yours. Business information you share with us is used solely for your engagement, stored securely, and returned or destroyed at your request. We do not disclose it, and we do not use it for anyone else's benefit.
- Independence from vendors. We accept no commissions or referral fees from software companies. When we recommend a tool, the only reason is that it fits your business.
What you can expect at each stage
Before the engagement
An initial conversation is free and carries no obligation. If we are the right fit, you receive a written proposal with a fixed scope and either a fixed fee or a clearly estimated range. If we are not the right fit — because the problem is outside our capability, or because you do not need us yet — we will say so and point you to a better option.
During the engagement
You receive scheduled progress updates, early warning of anything that threatens scope, timing or budget, and a single point of contact who knows your file. We work around your trading hours wherever possible, and we consult your team before changing anything they rely on.
After the engagement
You receive a complete handover pack, a debrief of what was delivered and what to watch, and a reasonable window of follow-up support for questions arising from our work. If we said we would check in after a month, we check in after a month.
Standards only count if they are written down and reported against. Our service standards
When something goes wrong
On a long enough timeline, something will: a recommendation underperforms, a timeline slips, a change annoys the team. Our commitment in those moments is simple. We say so first, in plain words. We explain what happened, what it means for scope and cost, and what we propose to do about it — and then we do it. Issues we cannot resolve within forty-eight hours are escalated to the director responsible for your engagement, with a written remediation plan. We have kept clients for over a decade not because nothing ever went wrong, but because nothing was ever hidden.
Confidentiality as a default
Many of our clients are private businesses whose commercial arrangements are nobody else's business. We treat engagement details as confidential by default, reference client work only in anonymised form, and are happy to sign your confidentiality agreement before the first meeting. Case studies on this website are published only with written permission, with identifying details removed.
